My philosophy is to deliver marketing and events that facilitate the opportunities for my clients to engage directly with their existing and potential clients and key influencers.
I have over 20 years experience in marketing and events spanning industries as diverse as Telecommunications, Finance, Media, Travel, Energy and Emerging Technologies.
Starting Out I come from a family of entrepreneurs, so there has been talk of business and customers as far back as I can remember. My first weekend job at Witchery introduced me to the value of a good customer experience.
Putting theory into practise Following a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) at Southern Cross Uni, I cut my teeth in the energy sector at the AGL Group. As part of a graduate marketing program I was based in the New Homes division and working with the Natural Gas Builder channel to influence builders to increase the installation of natural gas products in new homes. Complete channel marketing strategy developed annually and executed through product launches, retail integration, incentive programs, industry breakfasts.
Getting excited about events "And the Winner is Sydney"....As part of my marketing role at Telstra's Network Design and Construction (NDC) I was involved in the Sydney Olympics Corporate Hospitality Program. A very complex hospitality program where Senior Management, Clients and Partners were hosted on a cruise ship on Sydney Harbour and chaperoned to various Olympic Events. Group bookings, multiple sports event scheduling, client dinners, transport, merchandise, ticketing. An unforgettable experience to be part of.
Chilli Crab and Conferences After 3 years managing NDC’s presence at the Communicasia conference in Singapore I can tell you where to find the very best Singapore chilli crab. This annual event successfully launched the business in the emerging Asian market. Stand design and production management, visual messaging, merchandise, comms material, PR, plenary sessions, stand staffing, group accommodation.
Big time Awards When an opportunity came up to work alongside some of the business industries best journalists, including David Koch, I jumped into the management of Australia's longest running business awards,the 'MyBusiness Awards' with both feet. For 9 months I managed the programme, coordinating entrants, sponsors, and monthly coverage of the event in My Business Magazine. Culminating in an Awards Gala for 500 guests.
Emerging Tech and Babies With the excitement of the Dot.com boom all around I took a punt on a startup called Entire Network Solutions that was developing and preparing to launch Australia’s first WiFi network – back before smartphones, when WiFi was in its infancy. Partner agreements, marketing launch strategies, wholesale network arrangements, branding concepts. When the Dot.com bubble burst, the network funding was pulled by the investor, however I stayed on at ENS at worked in their property marketing division, marketing retail centres to the telecommunications industry. My role evolved into a part time role whilst I had my two children.
Bite off more than you can chew, and chew like crazy. With my children at kindy, I was hungry to get back into events. There was a focus on Renewable energy in the telecoms sector so I started the Smart Power for Smart Telecom Networks Conference series, first in Sydney in 2011 and then in Brisbane in 2013. The successful events brought together over 280, International and Australian speakers and delegates for two days of education, ideas exchange and networking. Very well respected within the industry. Conference concept, speaker and program development, industry liaison, media and PR, Conference website and online ticket sales, group accommodation, merchandise, programs, associated hospitality events.
Consulting and Customer Focus The ability to bring together many years of marketing experience and work on a consulting basis for a handful of boutique global businesses is particularly rewarding. From PR and media profiling for small regionally based artists such as Sea Salt Designs by Sara, through to customer focused marketing strategy for a suite of businesses operating worldwide as part of Depth Industries, I am currently enjoying the opportunity to share my knowledge and work with these businesses and individuals to grow their business through targeted marketing strategy.

Organised for Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO) members during the Growth Summit Conference in 2012. Kept the location secret, until we arrived at the island. Gourmet dining under the stars, island tour, great minds, very interesting conversations. “The industry event at Fort Denison was an outstanding success. What inspires me day to day? Working with great, like-minded people. The buzz of seeing the success of a well planned, well executed event, or marketing program. New experiences, great design, good conversation, sand between my toes.
